Our three hide buckskin dress continues to be our most popular leather clothing item. We offer the dress in several different colors as well as different sizes. Our most popular color is smoke, a light tan natural colored leather. The suede side of the smoke leather closely resembles brain tanned leather in appearance. Our gold colored buckskin also makes a very good looking dress in either suede or grain side out. Coming on strong in popularity is our reddish-brown leather we call whisky. The suede side of this leather makes a terrific looking garmet. Planning a wedding? Many choose our white leather for their dress. This leather is a pure white and makes a beautiful garment. White leather does run more in price and is always subject to availability. One question we will ask when you order your dress is which side of the leather do you want out, the smooth side (grain) or the fuzzy (suede) side. Many people tell us that the suede side feels better against their skin. Suede side out definitely has a more traditional look to it, especially the smoke color. Suede side out does tend to show dirt more than the smooth side. Either way makes a beautiful dress that will last for years. We seem to make equal numbers of dresses both ways. Each dress is individually hand crafted from our finest deerskin leather. Each piece of the dress features hand cut fringe. The dress is then tied together using hand cut leather laces. Some women request extra long fringe on the sleeves. This is done by adding additional leather to each cape which is then fringed. We are frequently asked about matching leather for leggings. We do not make ladies leggings ourselves but can furnish you with matching leather. The leggings are simple to make and need to be made to fit each person individually.

CARE AND CLEANING OF LEATHER CLOTHING We recommend that you let your garment age naturally. As leather ages it acquires a patina that we feel adds to the look of the garment. If you feel that you need to clean your garment we recommend that you hand wash it with a mild detergent such as Woolite, rinse the garment and squeeze out as much of the water as you can and lay the garment out to dry. Leather dries stiffer than before washing but should soften up with a good shaking.
